Frequently Asked Questions
Power Trough 110/250 is a linear parabolic solar collector generating high temperatures. In other words it is a solar heating system for industrial and / or commercial businesses with a capacity to provide operating temperatures between 60°C and 250°C.
The potented design of our solar collector technology is property of Inventive Power SAPI CV and is designed by our engineers in our office in Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico. The manufacturing equipment is made in Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico with the highest quality standards for sale worldwide.
Flat plate panels and vacuum tubes generate heat between 40°C and 80°C. While Inventive Power solar collectors reach operating temperatures between 60°C and 250°C.
Solar concentration projects are not recommended for domestic applications because the volume of water to be heated is very small and the temperatures generated by our equipment are much higher than needed in home.
The quantity of water that can be heated varies, depending on the volume requirements of the project. The number of solar collectors to be installed is calculated on the basis of the volume of water required, the temperature increase needed and the geographical location. The volume of water in each collector to be heated also depends on the temperature increase needed and the solar radiation available on the installation site.
Inventive Power designs a customized project each time, for which the unit price of each collector varies, depending on the characteristics of the project.
The space required depends on the energy needs of the project, which defines the size of the equipment to be installed. As an example, for a project of 40 solar collectors Power Trough 110, approximately 270 m2 of space available is needed for installation.
Each hub has an approximate weight of 81 kg installed.
Like any solar system, its performance depends on a good solar radiation, that is to say, generation of thermal energy is reduced proportionally to the intensity of the clouds.
It is scientifically impossible to predict rain with 100% certainty. However, our solar tracking system, the PowerTracker PRO installed on our collectors, has sensors to try to predict rain in order to protect the equipement from rain or hail by switching into the back position.
The solar collectors Power Trough 110, as well as the teams that work with solar energy, can only generate power while solar radiation.
The hot water tank is used to store thermal energy, making it available when required. The stored thermal energy may be available even at night or when the solar radiation is low.
Equipment maintenance is really simple, which can be done by any maintenance personnel within an industry or business. It is only required to clean the reflective surface periodically to maintain maximum efficiency of the equipment. Additionally, it is recommended to grease the moving parts of the hub every 6 months.
Inventive Power provides montly and semiannual maintenance policies. Thus, customers who acquire such policies don’t have to worry about maintenance of their equipment. Another benefit from these maintenance policies is that we guarantee optimal performance.
You can use any transfer fluid as long as it is intended for this function (eg. softened water, thermal oil, glycol, antifreeze, etc.).
Our technology has a two-year guarantee in electronics and mechanical components, and a five-year guarantee against any manufacturing defect.
Solar collector projects have a lifespan of more than 20 years.
The payment of our solar collector projects can be done with cash payment, direct financing or third party institutions as leasing companies, commercial and development banks, credit cards and many others. In Inventive Power we are always looking for the best financing option that suits perfectly to your needs and processes.
Depending on the country, there are different tax incentives for renewable energy. In Mexico, the Law on Income Tax (ISR) allows accelerated deduction of 100% for machinery and equipment for power generation from renewable sources and for cogeneration systems. This means that a project with our technology would be an expense, reducing the basis of assessment at the end of the fiscal year.
